Makai Ruffin is currently a junior at Bowling Green State University. She is majoring with a BA Psychology with a minor in General Business. In addition, she is a member of the Undergraduate Psychology Association. Makai has worked as a research assistant under the field of animal cognition that dealt with the behavioral patterns of homing pigeons. Moreover, Makai has also worked as a research team member looking at the well-being of the unemployed through social media sentiments. Makai is planning to continue her academic career by obtaining a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with a focus on job performance, selection, or organizational development where she can apply her training in the private sector.

Corrie Marshall
Corrie Marshall is a rising senior at Bradley University where she is a double major in Organizational Communication and Psychology with a minor in Management and Leadership. She is currently the Community Service Officer for Psi Chi and will be the incoming President of the Bradley University Chapter. She has been a research assistant to Dr. Allen Huffcutt for two years, focusing on behavioral interviewing. Recently, Corrie was a Student Aide where she helped students transition from high school to college, assisted students with academic advising, co-instructed two university experience courses, and conducted workshops for time management and goal setting. After undergrad, she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations. Ultimately, Corrie hopes to become a consultant or chief human resources officer to guide and encourage organizations to reshape their models to develop and utilize an increasingly diverse workforce.
Uriel Saldivar
Uriel Saldivar is a senior at Northeastern Illinois University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Human Resources Development. Uriel is a McNair Research Scholar and a member of Psi-Chi, the National Honors Society for Psychology. Regarding research interests, he is interested in identifying the characteristics employers consider when evaluating the social media profiles of job candidates. Generally, he has a keen interest in employee selection methods and needs analysis. Uriel actively participates in his campus’ psychology club and frequently volunteers at the campus food pantry. // Outside of school, Uriel serves as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve at Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois. He also works as a Student Advocate at Malcolm X College in Chicago, working to support freshman during their first-year transition from high school to college. Uriel aspires to earn a doctoral education and hopes to pursue a career in Organizational Science. Ultimately, he hopes to transition into academia to guide the next generation of researchers and academics.
Rachael Pyram
Rachael Pyram is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She is currently working towards completing a dual-degree in Statistics and Psychology, with the goal of pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organization (I-O) Psychology. As a research assistant in one of USF’s I-O labs, Rachael has been actively working on a resilience meta-analysis for the past year, where she conducts literature reviews and runs statistical analyses. As a Psychology and Statistics major, Rachael’s personal research over the past year has explored Ambivalent Sexism Theory and Item Response Theory. For the past two years, Rachael has worked as a professional writing tutor at Hillsborough Community College, where she has received both advanced certification as a tutor and as an academic coach. Her experience as a writing tutor, specifically working with students and faculty, and facilitating and developing tutor trainings, was what ignited her interest in I-O. Looking to the future, Rachael’s research interests are in the fields of training and coaching, the development and integration of technology into the workplace, and the interpretation and useful application of people analytics.
