Uriel Saldivar is a senior at Northeastern Illinois University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Human Resources Development. Uriel is a McNair Research Scholar and a member of Psi-Chi, the National Honors Society for Psychology. Regarding research interests, he is interested in identifying the characteristics employers consider when evaluating the social media profiles of job candidates. Generally, he has a keen interest in employee selection methods and needs analysis. Uriel actively participates in his campus’ psychology club and frequently volunteers at the campus food pantry. // Outside of school, Uriel serves as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve at Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois. He also works as a Student Advocate at Malcolm X College in Chicago, working to support freshman during their first-year transition from high school to college. Uriel aspires to earn a doctoral education and hopes to pursue a career in Organizational Science. Ultimately, he hopes to transition into academia to guide the next generation of researchers and academics.

Rachael Pyram
Rachael Pyram is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She is currently working towards completing a dual-degree in Statistics and Psychology, with the goal of pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organization (I-O) Psychology. As a research assistant in one of USF’s I-O labs, Rachael has been actively working on a resilience meta-analysis for the past year, where she conducts literature reviews and runs statistical analyses. As a Psychology and Statistics major, Rachael’s personal research over the past year has explored Ambivalent Sexism Theory and Item Response Theory. For the past two years, Rachael has worked as a professional writing tutor at Hillsborough Community College, where she has received both advanced certification as a tutor and as an academic coach. Her experience as a writing tutor, specifically working with students and faculty, and facilitating and developing tutor trainings, was what ignited her interest in I-O. Looking to the future, Rachael’s research interests are in the fields of training and coaching, the development and integration of technology into the workplace, and the interpretation and useful application of people analytics.
Lina Lucumi
Lina Lucumi was born in Cali, Colombia but her parents are originally from Quinamayó, Valle, Colombia. She graduated from the Universidad del Valle with a degree in public accounting. Her education and professional career have been focused on Researching about Organizational Studies from critical approaches. Ms. Lucumi recently worked as a research assistant in a research project led by Professor Monika Hudson from the University of San Francisco, which is sponsored by Fulbright U. S.
She plans to attend graduate and postgraduate school to study Inequality and Social Science in order to work towards developing multi-disciplinary research that describes how organizational actions influence social inequality structures in situated contexts. The 2018 Alumni has not only made a commitment to her academics but also worked to serve in the community. She currently serves as a volunteer consultant, looking for economic empowerment of women through the construction or strengthening of their entrepreneurship. Therefore, her academic reflections and her social work have led her to co-create a small organic cosmetics company located in Colombia. This business demonstrates that it is possible to create value (economic, social and environmental) in communities historically exploited while being able to fulfill profitability goals. This entrepreneurship called “Bámbara S.A.S”, tests and gives solutions for communities facing economic injustice.
Kiah Morris
Kiah Morris is a rising junior at Clemson University and is double majoring in Management and Psychology with an emphasis area in Human Resources. She is currently a Resident Assistant and the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Intern for the College of Business. She is very active on campus, and specifically enjoys and has a passion for helping first-year students in their transitions to college. Kiah is currently a member of a Creative Inquiry team that focuses on behavior ethics and organizations in the workplace. Upon graduation, Kiah plans to pursue her masters in Industrial-Organization Psychology with a focus in Work Life.
