Uriel Saldivar is a senior at Northeastern Illinois University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Human Resources Development. Uriel is a McNair Research Scholar and a member of Psi-Chi, the National Honors Society for Psychology. Regarding research interests, he is interested in identifying the characteristics employers consider when evaluating the social media profiles of job candidates. Generally, he has a keen interest in employee selection methods and needs analysis. Uriel actively participates in his campus’ psychology club and frequently volunteers at the campus food pantry. // Outside of school, Uriel serves as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve at Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois. He also works as a Student Advocate at Malcolm X College in Chicago, working to support freshman during their first-year transition from high school to college. Uriel aspires to earn a doctoral education and hopes to pursue a career in Organizational Science. Ultimately, he hopes to transition into academia to guide the next generation of researchers and academics.
